Hello

On July 11th this year I turned 21. And what better time than turning 21 to set yourself a set of goals that would help you become who you want to be at the age of 25.

My goals are:

1. Lose 21lbs.
- I've been carrying round about a spare stone for a while now and constantly go on about losing weight, so if I lose 21lbs - a stone and a half - I'll have got rid of the extra stone and given myself a little bit extra as well. Size 8 here I come!

2. Hand in all uni assignments on time.
-I really wasn't a great student last year and I definitely want to graduate with a good result, so now first year is over it's time to knuckle down. Forcing myself to work harder at uni should also I hope make me become less lazy overall as I have gotten relly lazy since leaving school.

3. Actually do uni assignments before the night before they're due.
-As above.

4. Spend 2 months (not consecutively) on a spending ban.
-I'm not great with money and right now I live for free in my parents home so there is no excuse for my debts other than that I can't walk away from pretty dresses and booking amazing holidays on a whim - so I will be spending at least 2 months out of this year not buying anything.

5. Pay off £2100 of my debts.
- As above basically.
By Christmas (end of December) I want to have paid off £1,000
By Easter (End of April) £1,800
By my next birthday (July 11th 2013) £2,100

6. Read 21 books.
- Like I said I feel as though I've got lazy recently, and I'm hoping that getting back into reading will engage and wake up my brain a bit!

7. Visit an art gallery or museum a month.
- I have great visions of being a cultured individual who can discuss art once I grow up, but that's a knowledge that you build, you don't just wake up with it one morning!

8. Write 21 chapters of that book I want to publish one day.
- I always wanted to be an author but again I won't just wake up one morning and casually shoot out a book, so I need to start making schedules and managing my time. Again I think this is to tie in with also making me a bit less lazy and less of a procrastinator.

9. Sell 21 items of clothing on ebay.
- There is too much stuff in my room, I need a major clear out!

10. Wear a bikini on a beach. Even if that is a beach on bloody Ayr!
- I can't remember a day in my life that I've felt thin, so I want to lose the 21lbs, gain some confidence and wear a bikini. Even if just for 5 seconds before throwing a kaftan on, I just want to confront my body fears and get over it so I can get on with the rest of my life!

11. Read a Shakespeare play.
- Again I've gotten lazy, and I want to be a well rounded, cultured individual - so I have to take steps towards it.

12. Run a 5K
- Training for a 5K takes comitment and not only will that help me with my laziness, I will be doing it through the Couch to 5K program, which means this step will contribute to steps 1 and 10 - body confidence.

13. Reach 250 followers on my fashion blog.
- Don't want to talk about that blog on here as this is meant to be more personal, and I'm not giving the url to anyone, but I do want to grow my blog and the follower goal is less about getting people to follow me as it is to encourage me to post good, quality content and post often. Hoping to have reached 210 by Christmas, then 250 by July 11th 2013 (hopefully!)

14. Make a day a week that I tidy my room.
- I have total OCD and get stressed when my room is a mess, but I'm also lazy. So I pledge that one day each week I will do all of the following
-Change the bed
-Hoover
-Tidy in my drawers
-Tidy the tops of my drawers
-Make sure I can actually close my wardrobe doors.

15. Read a newspaper a week.
- Again cultured individuals are made not born.

16. Complete the 30 Day Shred (not including the one I've technically already started!)
- Again this will help with forcing me to be committed to something, and my body confidence.

17. Spend a weekend away with no phone and no internet.
- Again I'm not a fan of the 'Facebook generation' so similarly to sending a handwritten letter I also want to just go away and be with my friends or boyfriend fully in the moment and not checking my twitter/email/facebook when I care more about the people I'm with than the people I'm connecting with over these apps.

18. Go on 'date night' once a month.
- I love my boyfriend - but when I wanted him to notice me I thought about outfits the night before, did my hair and applied make up. Now we're together I slob around his house in pjamas and one of his hoodies. I think a couple should work on making sure that they remain the couple they were at the start and keep the sparks alive. Ours is nowhere near dead, but relationships take work and I want to be in the habit of putting that time and work in.

19. Make a meal that doesn't come from a microwave once a week.
- I'm a huge fan of the microwave meal, I love the conveience of it, but they're not healthy and they encourage me to be lazy, mean I don't have to plan and mean I don't have to have any time management skills. The amount of salt etc in microwave meals also causes cellulite so doing this should contribute to the whole body confidence thing!

20. Try a new recipe once a month.
- I have a fantasy of serving  my kids and husband a 3 course meal every night whilst wearing a poodle skirt, high heels and a white apron. Maybe this isn't realistic, but it'd be a lot more realistic if I could cook more than just pasta.

21. Save up enough for an expensive handbag (the Mulberry Del Ray of the Marc Jacobs Stam probably)
- Again I spend too much money on impulse purchases - I want to spend time saving up and buying something that I can look at and say 'I worked for that'.
